Fari Nzinga, Ph.D., received her degree from the Graduate Program in Cultural Anthropology in 2013 and was named a 2014 ACLS Public Fellow. 

She entered the art world through her training as a Cultural Anthropologist with a specialization in the contemporary as well as historical experiences of the African diaspora.  Once an independent arts writer, curator and cultural producer in New Orleans, LA, she is now honing her skills in a museum context in Kalamazoo, MI.          

Fari Nzinga's former position was as the Public Policy Officer at the New Orleans Museum of Art, which is the largest museum of its kind in the Gulf South.
