B.A., Cultural Anthropology (2002)

How has being a Cultural Anthropology graduate from Duke helped shape you personally and/or professionally?

"Curiosity without about how and why people do what they do and a deep sense of empathy borne from the mindset of an ethnographic researcher."

What advice would you give students in Duke's Cultural Anthropology programs?

"Be open to a multitude of career paths and get help with articulating the value your degree provides. Don’t be afraid to focus on the power of appreciating the totality of the experience of others - it can be your superpower in business, in service, in politics, in life!"
