Summer Field Research

Students will conduct preliminary research during the summers following the first and second year, with funding provided by the graduate school. We also encourage you to develop and submit grant proposals to various campus funders that support summer research (e.g. the Center for International Studies, the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies, the Graduate School, etc.). All students must submit proposals for internal Duke summer funding for which they are eligible.
